A tragic accident in college left BJ Miller a triple amputee. Today, he is a hospice and palliative care physician and co-author of A Beginner’s Guide to the End. He has been interviewed by Oprah Winfrey, NPR’s Terry Gross, the New York Times and others, and his 2015 TED Talk, “Not Whether But How,” has been viewed more than 11 million times.
