Learning Objectives:
After completing this course, attendees will have improved their skills and strategies with regard to hematologic malignancies. Specifically, they will be able to:
  • Describe major advances made over the past two decades in allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT)
  • Summarize the impact of COVID-19 on adult HCT volumes
  • Discern diseases for which CAR T-cell therapy is approved and in development
  • Describe the most common side effects associated with CAR T-cell therapy.
  • Review the risks for opioid misuse by patients with cancer
  • Develop a strategy for managing opioids in their own clinical practices
